How the guide price is worked out

The tool uses typical 2026 supply-and-fit rates, shown excluding and including VAT at 20%: a base cost for the type of shutter, a rate per square metre for the curtain you choose, and allowances for electric operation and a RAL colour. The range allows for normal differences in access and fixing.

It cannot see your building, so the survey still matters. Structure, power, access, planning and any security rating are checked before we confirm a fixed price in writing.

What is not included

  • A new electrical circuit, if there is no supply nearby
  • Structural work to weak or missing lintels
  • Planning or listed building application fees
  • Out-of-hours or access equipment beyond a standard ladder or tower
