Aluminium roller shutters in Borehamwood: the essentials

Roll-formed aluminium laths are two skins of aluminium with an insulating foam core, which keeps them light. A lighter curtain puts less strain on the motor, springs and barrel, which helps the shutter last.

Perforated aluminium laths are available for frontages where the display needs to stay visible. Aluminium does not rust, so it suits coastal towns and exposed frontages.

What's included

  • Manual or electric operation
  • Lighter curtain for less wear on motors and springs
  • No rust, suited to coastal and exposed sites
  • Quieter running than steel
  • Powder coated to a RAL colour
  • Solid, perforated or vision laths

Aluminium roller shutters: common questions

Do you cover Borehamwood?

Yes. Send the postcode and we will arrange a survey in Borehamwood. We also cover nearby Barnet, Bushey and Potters Bar.

What is the difference between roll-formed and extruded aluminium?

Roll-formed laths are two thin skins with a foam core, which is light and insulating. Extruded laths are solid profiles, which are heavier and much stronger.

Do aluminium shutters corrode by the sea?

Aluminium does not rust like steel, and a powder-coated finish adds protection, which makes it a good choice for coastal frontages.

Will an aluminium shutter dent?

Foam-filled laths can dent under a heavy impact. Extruded aluminium resists denting far better, and damaged laths can be replaced individually.

Do your guide prices include VAT?

Guide prices are shown both excluding VAT and including VAT at the standard rate of 20%. For a home, the price including VAT is what you pay.

Do you work with landlords and managing agents?

Yes. We quote, fit and service shutters for landlords, managing agents and facilities teams, including multi-site planned maintenance.
