What to know about fire shutter servicing & drop tests in West Glamorgan

Faults found on test are reported straight away with a price for the remedial work. Counter-height and kitchen fire shutters need the same testing as large shutters. We can test shutters linked to the fire alarm in coordination with your alarm contractor.

Regular testing also gives staff a chance to see how the shutter behaves and keep the area clear. Each visit is recorded with a certificate-style report for your fire safety log book.

Questions about fire shutter servicing & drop tests in West Glamorgan

How often should fire shutters be drop tested?

Most manufacturers and industry guidance call for at least one test and service a year, with more frequent checks for busy or critical shutters. Follow the manufacturer's instructions and your fire risk assessment.

Can you fit outside trading hours?

Yes, out-of-hours fitting can be arranged for shops and businesses that cannot close during the day.

Who carries out the work?

Work is carried out by experienced shutter engineers working for S&K Property Investments and Improvement Ltd, which is the company your contract is with.
