Choosing high-speed doors for premises in Finchley
They are designed for very high numbers of cycles a day, which a standard roller shutter is not. Regular servicing keeps the sensors and safety devices working correctly on such a busy door.
Light curtains in the frame stop the curtain closing if anything is in the opening. High-speed doors open and close much faster than roller shutters, so the opening spends less time open.
Features to choose from
- Vision strips for safe traffic flow
- High daily cycle rating
- Internal, external and cold-store versions
- Self-repairing curtain on many models
- Fast-acting PVC fabric curtain
- Radar, loop, pull-cord and push-button activation

Rules in England

Questions about high-speed doors in Finchley
Do you cover Finchley?
Yes. Send the postcode and we will arrange a survey in Finchley. We also cover nearby Muswell Hill, Cricklewood and Kilburn.
What happens if a forklift hits the curtain?
On many models the curtain pops out of its guides and re-feeds itself on the next cycle, which avoids the damage a steel shutter would suffer.
How fast do they open?
High-speed doors open in a few seconds, much faster than a roller shutter. The exact speed depends on the model and size.
Is a high-speed door secure?
Not on its own. The fabric curtain is for traffic and environmental control, so it is often paired with a roller shutter that closes out of hours.
What warranty do I get?
Products carry the manufacturer's warranty, and the warranty for your shutter is set out in your quote.
Do your guide prices include VAT?
Guide prices are shown both excluding VAT and including VAT at the standard rate of 20%. For a home, the price including VAT is what you pay.
