High-speed doors in Daventry: tell us the opening size and postcode and we will send a guide price, then survey for a fixed quote.

In Daventry, high-speed doors typically cost £4,495 to £15,995 ex VAT (£5,394 to £19,194 inc VAT) for the common sizes. The width of the opening matters more than the height, and electric operation adds to the price.

What to know about high-speed doors in Daventry

Radar, induction loops and pull cords open the door automatically as traffic approaches. Vision strips in the curtain let drivers and pedestrians see what is on the other side.

Light curtains in the frame stop the curtain closing if anything is in the opening. Food, pharmaceutical and cold-store sites use them to keep zones separate.

Features to choose from

  • Pairs with a roller shutter for security
  • Vision strips for safe traffic flow

Rules in England

Safety of powered shutters

Powered doors and shutters are treated as machinery. The installer commissions them with a risk assessment, safety devices where the risk calls for them and force checks to BS EN 12453, then hands over a declaration of conformity and maintenance instructions. In workplaces, the employer or whoever controls the premises must keep doors maintained and safe for staff and visitors.

How it works

  1. Send the details

Give us the postcode, approximate width and height, and what the shutter is protecting.

  2. We survey the opening

An engineer measures and checks the fixings, power and any planning constraints.

  3. You approve a fixed price

The quote lists the specification and price in writing, so there are no surprises.

  4. We fit and commission

Your shutter is installed, tested and handed over with instructions and paperwork.

Questions about high-speed doors in Daventry

Do you cover Daventry?

Yes. Send the postcode and we will arrange a survey in Daventry. We also cover nearby Rugby, Leamington Spa and Banbury.

What happens if a forklift hits the curtain?

On many models the curtain pops out of its guides and re-feeds itself on the next cycle, which avoids the damage a steel shutter would suffer.

Is a high-speed door secure?

Not on its own. The fabric curtain is for traffic and environmental control, so it is often paired with a roller shutter that closes out of hours.

How fast do they open?

High-speed doors open in a few seconds, much faster than a roller shutter. The exact speed depends on the model and size.

Do your guide prices include VAT?

Guide prices are shown both excluding VAT and including VAT at the standard rate of 20%. For a home, the price including VAT is what you pay.

Can you fit outside trading hours?

Yes, out-of-hours fitting can be arranged for shops and businesses that cannot close during the day.
