Choosing roller grilles for premises in Nuneaton

Brick-bond, tubular and link patterns give different levels of visibility and strength. Shopping centres often require roller grilles rather than solid shutters on unit fronts.

Aluminium grilles are lighter and suit large unit fronts; steel grilles add strength. An open curtain lets air and light through, so displays stay on view and the unit does not look closed down.

Options we can specify

  • Aluminium or steel curtains
  • Manual or electric operation
  • Optional polycarbonate infill
  • Anodised or powder-coated finishes
  • Removable intermediate posts for wide units
  • Solid kick panel option

Rules in England

Safety of powered shutters

Powered doors and shutters are treated as machinery. The installer commissions them with a risk assessment, safety devices where the risk calls for them and force checks to BS EN 12453, then hands over a declaration of conformity and maintenance instructions. In workplaces, the employer or whoever controls the premises must keep doors maintained and safe for staff and visitors.

Before you book in Nuneaton

Do you cover Nuneaton?

Yes. We survey, fit and repair roller grilles in Nuneaton and the CV11 district, as part of our coverage across Warwickshire.

Do roller grilles need planning permission?

External roller grilles usually need planning permission like other external security. Councils often find them more acceptable than solid shutters.

Can things be passed through a grille?

Small items can pass through an open lattice. Polycarbonate infill panels close the gaps if that is a concern.

Can a grille cover a very wide unit?

Yes, with a stronger curtain or removable intermediate posts to keep it rigid.

Do you work with landlords and managing agents?

Yes. We quote, fit and service shutters for landlords, managing agents and facilities teams, including multi-site planned maintenance.

Are your prices fixed?

Yes. After the survey you get a written price for the agreed specification, confirmed before anything is ordered or any work starts. If you change the specification, or a hidden problem such as a weak lintel is found during fitting, we price it and agree it with you before carrying on.
